The E-Atlas Training and data validation workshops

The Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System organized training workshops on the ReSAKSS Country eAtlases from July 11th, 2016 to August 19th, 2016 for Togo, Uganda, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Mozambique, and Malawi which were hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture in each country.

The objectives of the workshop were to validate the country eAtlas data and related tools, and train the country experts who will be responsible for maintenance and updating of the country eAtlas.

The first day of the training workshop was dedicated to data validation. The categories of data that being validated included crop, livestock, economic, demographic-health and nutrition, and biophysics.

The second day was devoted to training the national experts (GIS and economists) on the SAKSS interface tool.
